The 2011 Eaton Science Fiction Conference

The 2011 Eaton Science Fiction Conference will explore global science fiction in a three-day event that begins Feb. 11, 2011 in the historic Mission Inn & Spa in downtown Riverside.

NOTICE: Online registration for the 2011 Eaton Conference will end Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 12:00pm (Noon). If you will be registering onsite at the Historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, registration will accept ONLY U.S. Cash or Check. 

The Conference is sponsored by the University of California, Riverside Libraries and the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences.

Delany, Ellison to Receive Eaton Lifetime Achievement Awards

Harlan Ellison Samuel R. Delany Two renowned science fiction authors will be honored at the 2011 conference. Harlan Ellison will be in attendance to receive the 2011 J. Lloyd Eaton Lifetime Achievement Award in Science Fiction. Samuel R. Delany will receive the 2010 award, with scholar Carl Freedman accepting the award on Delany's behalf. The awards will be presented at the Plenary Session in Culver Center for the Arts on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.

Other authors expected to attend the conference include Nalo Hopkinson, China MiƩville, and Karen Tei Yamashita.
